Jin Kimchi Upgrade
Let the kimchi sharpen the bowl with acidity, heat, and crunch while the ramen stays at the center. The upgrade should feel lively, not crowded.
Why You'll Love This Upgrade
Chopped napa cabbage kimchi adds tang, heat, and texture to Jin Ramen while keeping the original broth recognizable. Use 1/3 cup roughly chopped kimchi. Add it during the final minute so it warms through without losing all of its bite.

Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 package Jin Ramen instant ramen
- 500 ml, plus up to 40 ml for adjustment Water
- 1/3 cup Napa cabbage kimchi, roughly chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon, optional Toasted sesame oil or neutral oil
- 1/4 teaspoon, optional Lime or vinegar
Directions
Prepare
- Measure and prepare all ingredients before the noodles go into the pot.
Cook
- Cook the noodles and seasoning according to the package directions, stopping while the noodles are still springy. Stir in the chopped kimchi during the final minute. Taste before adding any kimchi brine or adjustment water.
Finish
- Start with the kimchi itself and add brine only after tasting the finished broth.
Serve
- The broth should taste spicy and tangy, with warm kimchi that still has some texture. If the kimchi overwhelms the broth, use less brine next time.
